What to Expect on Your Driver Track Day

Our Driver Track Day offers an exciting and comprehensive experience, giving you the chance to meet our team, drive high-performance cars, and receive one-on-one coaching from our head coach, Phil Alexander. Here’s what your day will look like:

Schedule for the Day

• 8:00 AM – Sign-Up: Arrive at Pheasant Wood Circuit and complete your registration. Meet our friendly team and get ready for an exciting day ahead.
• 8:30 AM – Car Fitting: Get fitted into one of our high-performance track cars. Our team will ensure your comfort and safety, adjusting the car’s setup to suit your driving style.
• 8:45 AM – Guided Track Walk: Join our head coach, Phil Alexander, for a guided walk around the circuit. Learn about the track’s key features, including braking points, apexes, and optimal racing lines.
• 9:00 AM – In-Car Coaching: Start your day with personalised coaching from Phil Alexander. Receive real-time feedback and tips as you drive, helping you improve your technique and confidence.
• 10:00 AM – On-Track Sessions Begin: Hit the track for continuous laps with one-on-one coaching. Experience the thrill of driving at speed while refining your skills under expert guidance.
• 12:45 PM – Lunch: Enjoy a well-deserved break!
• 1:45 PM – Back on Track: Return to the track for more driving sessions. Apply what you’ve learned in the morning and continue to develop your racing skills.
• 3:00 PM – Day Finishes: Conclude the day with a debrief session. Receive a summary of your performance, discuss your progress, and plan the next steps in your driver development journey.

What’s Included?

Event Details:
- Minimum Age: 16
- Minimum Track Day License Required: Available at the track for $35 (one day).
- Licenses Accepted: AASA and Motorsport Australia Licenses.
- Convenient Acces: Petrol and food available within 2km.

Venue:
Pheasant Wood Circuit is only 1.5 hours from Sydney or Canberra in the Southern Tablelands, Marulan NSW. A technically challenging track, the tarmac boasts 9 corners over 1.6km with NSW's only two banked corners. Conveniently located 2km from the town of Marulan. Spectators are welcomed and comfortable with access to a spectator stand and picnic area. Vending machine available onsite.

Apparel:
- Racing Apparel
- FIA Approved Helmet
- Long sleeves, long pants, enclosed thin sole shoes

Car Hire:
- Please arrive no later than 8:00am for fitting
- All cars are manual drive – please ensure you have adequate manual driving experience
- Lap Limit: Car hires have 6 x 20 minute sessions spread throughout the day
- Clothing: All participants must wear wrist-to-neck-to-ankle fire-resistant clothing (long sleeve shirt, long pants, and fully enclosed shoes) or racing apparel
- Helmets with minimum Australian standard AS1698 are essential
- Helmet hire is included if required

Food & Drink:
- Please BYO food; the town of Marulan is 5 minutes away and has plenty of cafes and a well-equipped IGA
- Bring plenty of water – drinking water is not available onsite. We recommend bringing Hydrolyte to ensure you keep adequately hydrated
- Vending machine available

Spectators:
- Spectators are welcome!
- Spectator stand available as well as multiple viewing platforms around the track
- Picnic area with undercover seating
- Children must be supervised and within reach of an adult at all times

- Driver waiver must be read and signed before getting onto the track

- Track waiver must be read and signed before getting onto the track
- Days run in all weather conditions; in the unlikely event of cancellation or change, we will do our utmost to contact you via email/phone/text/Facebook
- Cancellations: Refunds are not available; however, we are able to arrange a transfer to another date. Transfers must be advised at least 7 days prior to the date. Cancellations after this date will result in a forfeit of all fees paid. Transfers must be completed within 6 months of the original course date. Refunds for cancellation or non-attendance are not available.
